Fragment #123

#123

Just now gold-sandled Dawn

Is bringing the night to an end
I wanted time to stand still or
To be slowed down like the
Night Athena stalled the horses
Of Dawn for the reunion of
Odysseus with Penelope, for
You are so seldom with me—
But now I am rewarded, I felt
As if time was an endless
Commodity, your love-making
Was so virile and varied, we
Could not have done all those
Wonders in just one night, it was
As if we were on our honeymoon
Wrapped in love, never having
Enough of one another, always
Going back for more delights
And pleasure, I could end my
Life before rosy-hued Aurora
Brings another day, but won’t
Because I always hope that
Chance will bring us back
One more time, my endless wish
As I brush you for one more kiss
